Metropolis partners with Sun, Light & Power to bring solar to the retail sector
Metropolis is committed to encouraging and facilitating green building practices in the retail industry. As part of this effort, Metropolis has partnered with solar industry pioneer Sun Light & Power to market the benefits of solar photovoltaic (i.e., generating electricity from sunlight) systems to the retail sector. Earlier this year Metropolis and Sun, Light & Power teamed up on a solar deal to supply an end user with a 90KW photovoltaic system. More projects are currently being evaluated.
"Retail property owners and managers are investing in solar energy to secure long-term competitive energy rates, reduce overhead costs, and maximize margin," said Lary Hanshaw, President and CEO of Metropolis Retail, Inc. "Government rebates and tax credits accelerate the return on investment. Third party Power Purchasing Agreement (PPA) financing can eliminate up-front costs, which can be substantial, while lowering overall monthly expenditures." For more information on whether solar makes sense for your project, please contact Lary Hanshaw, at 510-339-4545.
